To Our Patients:
We take your health very seriously. That is why we continue to monitor the situation regarding COVID-19 virus. We want to inform you that we are cooperating with the Center for Disease Control, American Dental Association and North Carolina Dental Society guidelines to limit our appointments to emergency, acute pain care only. This notice is effective immediately until April 15, 2020 or further notice.
In order to ensure the safety of our patients and dental team members, we will continue to closely adhere to the CDC’s guidelines regarding sterilization and sanitizing. We want to assure you that we have always implemented prescribed infection control protocols daily and do regular testing by a third party on all our sterilization units as prescribed by law. We disinfect our reception area several times each day and have removed all communal, non- essential amenities to limit chances of spreading virus. We will use aerosol disinfectants as well as physical wipe-down procedures. We are concerned about all viruses, including coronavirus. We have been following these protocols for years; In addition, we will pre-screen patients for any symptoms or exposures prior to office visits.
The U.S. Center for Disease Control recommends to following measure to reduce the risk of contracting COVID-19:
Avoid contact with people who are sick
Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth
Stay home when you are sick
Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, throw the tissue in the trash and wash your hands.
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds (Sing “Happy Birthday to You” twice) especially after using the bathroom, before eating and after blowing your nose, coughing and sneezing.
Please know that we will continue to monitor developments and will communicate with you as necessary. Our thoughts are with everyone affected by work and school closures and limited access to family, friends and local resources. We will overcome this national and global situation, as we have done in the past – together.
